Elvira Bianco, Italian Language Consultant and Teacher Elvira was born in a small town in the south of Italy. Her interest in
languages began early on in her studies. She found that knowing others
languages was the key to discover unknown worlds. She went to Calabria
University where she received her B.A. in Modern Foreign Languages (English,
Spanish and German). Afterwards, she attended a professional training
course in tourism, where she combined languages and computer skills. She
started working as freelance translator but kept studying and passed the
national exam that certified her as a Spanish teacher. She began the teaching
profession as an English teacher in a kindergarten. Thanks to a scholarship
award, she spent two years in New York City where she attended two post
graduate courses in special education and English and also worked as Spanish
teacher in two Bronx public schools. Later, back in Italy, Elvira taught
Spanish in a high school. She is now the mother of a two-year old Italian-American
baby girl and works as an Italian language consultant. |
